How to Balance Motherhood and Entrepreneurship Without Losing Yourself with Eryn Vargo

Eryn Vargo

When Eryn Vargo left her six-figure corporate job, she wasn’t just chasing a dream—she was chasing freedom. The kind of freedom that allows you to pick your kids up from school, say yes to your own schedule, and build something that reflects your values.

In this episode of The She Believed She Could Podcast, Eryn Vargo opens up about what it really looks like to walk away from stability and step into purpose. As the founder of Orlando Mom Collective and Mom Commerce Media, she’s built a thriving community for women who want more than just work-life balance—they want lives rooted in meaning, flexibility, and connection.

Redefining success as a mom and entrepreneur

For many women, success has traditionally meant climbing the corporate ladder. But Eryn challenges that definition. After years in a leadership role in the corporate world, she found herself burned out and missing moments that mattered most—those small, everyday pieces of motherhood that are easy to overlook but impossible to replace.

Instead of continuing down the same path, Eryn made the bold decision to pivot. She leaned into entrepreneurship not to escape work, but to create a life that worked for her.

The freedom of time

Eryn’s story is powerful because it’s so relatable. Like many moms, she didn’t just want to start a business—she wanted more control over her time, more presence in her children’s lives, and more alignment with her values.

“Being an entrepreneur gives me the freedom of time, which is really all I’ve ever really been seeking,” Eryn shared.

That freedom didn’t come easy. It came with sacrifices, doubt, and a lot of behind-the-scenes work that doesn’t make the highlight reels on social media. But it also brought deep fulfillment and a renewed sense of self.

The power of real community

Entrepreneurship can feel isolating—especially when you’re used to the daily rhythm of a corporate team. Eryn talked openly about that shift and how it inspired her to create Prosper and Flourish, a business community specifically designed for women in the “messy middle” of entrepreneurship—those who are beyond the startup phase but not quite at the top.

“Not everyone shares the messy middle, but that’s where most of us are. That’s where growth happens.”

She’s passionate about creating safe, supportive spaces where women can connect, collaborate, and thrive—without the pressure to perform or compete.

Believing in your vision

One of the most powerful takeaways from this conversation was the reminder that belief is the starting point. Eryn sat on the idea for Prosper and Flourish for years—until she finally gave herself permission to launch. And what followed was proof that when you step into your calling, the right people show up.

“I finally believed in myself—and now that belief just keeps growing.”
